Do's
  • Use recommended lubricants only. Check & replace oil in engine, gear box and brake master cylinder periodically as per schedule
  • Use only genuine oil filter and fuel filter elements
  • Ensure periodic servicing as per maintenance schedule
  • Insist on genuine Mahindra spare parts for all replacements
  • Check that tyres are inflated to the recommended pressures
  • Use only proper tools to suit the job and avoid unnecessary dismantaling
  • Observe 'Running in' instructions
  • Observe the road signs for your safety as well the safety of others
  • Change to lower gear while turning, slowing and before applying brakes on wet roads
  • Maintain electrolyte
  • Apply petroleum jelly on terminals
  • Always use decompression while starting the vehicle
  • Always keep the vehicle in neutral while engaging and disengaging the reverse gear
  • Always park the vehicles with the parking brakes 'ON'
  • Check engine oil level daily
Don'ts
  • Do not neglect routine maintenance
  • Do not try to repair any part of the engine when its running
  • Do not tamper any adjustment made by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd
  • Do not break the excess fuel device, maximum and minimum speed setting sections
  • Remember if the seals are broken, our warranty will be null and void
  • Do not attempt to start the engine unless the fault detected is rectified
  • Do not dismantle fuel injection equipment
  • Do not use any other than approved brands/grades of fuels and lubricants
  • Do not allow engine to be idle for long period
  • Do not use kerosene fuel
  • Do not operate brake pedal continuously
  • Do not start the vehicle by pushing it
  • Do not climb the steep gradient at full throttle
  • Always change into lower gears to avoid strain in the engine
  • Do not come down the gradient in top gear. Always change into lower gear
  • Do not attempt to turn the key to the start position while the engine is running
  • Do not run the vehicle without a battery in its electrical circuit, as the life of alternator will be reduced
  • Do not stop the engine by using decompression lever
  • Do not run the vehicle on half clutch
  • Do not mix two brands of lubricants
